Russell Anderson
Co-President, Sergeant-at-Arms
Russ Joined Rotary in 2012. He currently serves on the Board as the Sergeant-at-Arms and is a member of the Paul Harris Society. Russ is a true Californian and has lived in all three of the major cities, Walnut Creek--where he was born, Clayton, and Concord He was born into the family car business started by his great-grandfather who had him washing cars before he could drive.
Throughout high school he worked in his father’s dealership on weekends and during summer vacations. When he graduated from Northwood University in Midland, Michigan with a degree in Automotive Marketing, he and his brother and sister took over management of the 96 year old family dealership, Lehmer’s Buick GMC in Concord. He has been SCUBA certified since 1978. His entire family SCUBA dives and they take at least one diving vacation a year together. Russ spends his free time bicycling and tries to ride at least 100 miles per week. He enjoys cooking and making some pretty damn good BBQ. Russ and his wife, Annette, have two grown children, Shelley and Adam. They have been married for 30 years and reside in Concord.
