Robert Sundberg

Club President

Bob joined Rotary in 2003 and is currently the 2023-2024 President which is the first time in our club’s history that any member has served two terms. During his 21 years as a member, he served six years as Co-Treasurer (with Jorg Westerheid), was the 2011-2012 Club President, the Sergeant-at-Arms, served on the club’s Charitable Board as Director and Chairman, and is a member of the Paul Harris Society. Robert was born and raised in the hills of El Cerrito in the San Francisco Bay Area.


He received a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of San Francisco where he majored in Business Administration and minored in Macro Economics. He was employed by the Carrier Corporation as a Sales Engineer and the Flowserve Corporation as the Northern California regional Operations Manager. Since 1999, he is the owner, operator, and President of Norcal Molecular, the exclusive contracted northern California distributor for Belzona, Inc. to specify and supply engineered repairs, coatings and protective linings for process equipment in primarily the power, water, O&G, marine, and food processing industries throughout northern California. He was a member of E Clampus Vitus, served as a coach and umpire for the local baseball little league, coach for AYSO soccer, President of the St. Bonaventure Parish Council, President of the Pacific Energy Association, and Docent at the Blackhawk Auto Museum. He has three children, Christina, Deanna, and Paul and six grandchildren, Amy, Michael, Olivia, Mila, Noah, and Liam.


He is currently married to Karen, and has three stepchildren, Brandon, Sharon, and Joseph and two step grandchildren, Hanna and Camille. Robert’s hobbies, interests, and activities are travelling and exploring internationally and within the US, along with vintage and classic cars, boating (power and sail), water skiing, snow skiing, golfing, camping, river rafting, and hiking.
